Gramble is responsible for giving the player the Buggy Ball, which is a Strabby in a ball that players can guide with a laser pointer. While there is a main mission in Bugsnax that involves using a Buggy Ball to guide a creature out of an area, the “Training Day” quest in the “Gramble Grows His Horde” side questline brings guiding the ball to another level.

How To Unlock The Quest

To get to this point, players will have needed to bring Gramble back to Snaxburg. He can be found in Simmering Springs after completing Filbo and Wambus’ main questlines, along with getting the journal from Beffica. After finding him, there are seven individual objectives that the player must complete to make him go back to town.

Once in town, players can interview him and then begin his side questline. The first side quest, “Empty Nest,” can be completed by donating six Bugsnax of any kind to Gramble’s ranch. This will not only unlock the “Training Day” quest, but it will also open up more space in the player’s inventory to catch more Bugsnax. Players will need to bring Triffany back from Scorched Gorge to start “Training Day.”

How To Complete The Quest

To start the side quest, players will see Gramble in his yard talking to a Kweeble named Charwee. He is having trouble trying to train Charwee to come to him using his pointer. He asks if the player could use Sprout (the Buggy Ball) to help with the training. The quest is simple in writing: Use the Buggy Ball to guide Charwee to the finish.

However, it is a bit more difficult than that. Players will need to first remember to cover the Buggy Ball in chocolate as Charwee would not follow otherwise. Then, players will need to guide Charwee through an obstacle course that includes dodging Grumpuses along the way. Players will also be stuck on the roofs of the huts and are not allowed to jump down.

The start of the obstacle course forces players to guide the Buggy Ball through Triffany’s tent while she walks back-and-forth. After that, the hardest part of the obstacle course is to avoid getting the attention of Filbo, Wiggle, and Beffica as they stand around the fire area. If players do catch their attention, they could attempt to break the Buggy Ball.

Luckily, if this happens, the Buggy Ball will restart in the area and Charwee won’t move, but make sure to re-spray the ball with chocolate. After passing the three Grumpuses, players will need to cut through Wambus’ farm with Wambus walking back-and-forth in it. If Sprout dodges him, players should be in the clear to guide Charwee all the way to Gramble’s ranch.
