The addition of the app will benefit those who don’t want to sign up to a long-term BT Sport contract in order to watch sport on the channel. Instead, you can now purchase a £25 monthly pass that you can access via Now TV for the first time.
This works in the same way as Now TV’s own Sports Pass that gives you access to Sky Sports. You wouldn’t want to pay for both services monthly as it’d end up costing more than just having Sky Sport’s full package in all likelihood, but the flexibility of being able to get BT Sport on a Now TV device is welcome.
BT Sport’s standard monthly pass will work on the Now TV Stick, Now TV box and Now TV Smart Box. Customers with a Now TV 4K Box might have to pay an extra £5 per month to catch the action in full 4K via BT Sport Ultimate.
